• 1 kg potatoes
• 1 onion
• 150 g slices of cheese
• 2 small glasses of milk
• 200 ml of low fat cooking cream
• 150 g grated cheese
• Salt and pepper
• Fresh herbs to taste
• Olive oil
Step 1
Cut the potatoes into not too thick slices. Place them in an oiled baking dish.
Step 2
Layer starting with potatoes previously brushed with oil. Cover with a layer of onion cut into thin slices and cover with slices of cheese. Repeat the operation and finish with a layer of potatoes on the surface.
Step 3
Add the milk on top, distributing it well and take to a medium oven (170°C) for 30 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil so they don't dry out or burn.
Step 4
When removed from the oven, add the cream on top, moving the dish so that it penetrates well. Sprinkle with grated cheese and put back in the oven, now uncovered, under the grill until golden brown (about 15 min. approx.).
